Geronimo - Tours Lead

What’s up, everyone!! My name is Geronimo!! I’m a fourth-year student double majoring in both Biology, with a concentration in physiology and Spanish! I’m originally from Stockton, but I decided to move out here to the Bay Area and attend 澳门资料 because of the amazing living culture and diversity we have here at East Bay! In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends and making my horchata :D I am also involved as an Orientation Team Leader, Resident Assistant (RA), and an undergraduate research assistant in the biology department! Daniel - Tours Lead

Hey everyone! My name is Daniel, you can also call me Dan, and I am an international student from Myanmar(Burma). I’m currently a fourth-year student at 澳门资料 with a major in Art Illustration and a minor in Computer Science. I came to Cal State East Bay for its cultural diversity and amazing campus. I’m a huge football(soccer) enthusiast and just being outdoors in general but can also nerd out from time to time. I also enjoy playing video games, watching shows/ anime, and just hanging around with friends and family. A fun fact about me is that I have a huge fear of heights but going skydiving is on my bucket list. I look forward to assisting you here at the Welcome Center!

Advice to incoming students	One piece of advice is to not be nervous throughout your college career. Take advantage of all the different services provided to you as well as get involved around campus whether that be a job or volunteering. It’s one of the best ways to make friends as well as gain knowledge and build connections.

Hayli - Ambassador Lead

Hey guys! My name is Hayli Lusetti! I’m a third-year biology major with a concentration in cell and molecular, minoring in psychology and chemistry to eventually go into neuroscience. I’m from southern California and decided to come to Cal State East Bay because I wanted to be close to the Bay since there is such a wide variety of things to do, as well as it being very culturally diverse. A fun fact about me is that I can play six instruments, and am attempting to learn more. I look forward to being able to meet and help you with any questions you may have!

Hello, my name is Arsen Dzhuraev and I am an international student from Kyrgyzstan. I am a third-year Computer Science major here at CSU East Bay. I chose East Bay for its computer science programs and a lot of internships in the Bay Area. Besides my career goals, I was also looking for a campus with cultural diversity and Cal State East Bay has people from all over the world. My name is Elvializ Ramos, and this is my last semester here at 澳门资料. I am majoring in Ethnic Studies with a concentration in Chicanx Latinx Studies. I am from Sonoma, CA and I decided to come to East Bay because I have always dreamed of going to a university with lots of diversity along with wanting to experience the Bay Area from a different perspective. Favorite thing to do on campus	My favorite things to do on campus include: going on nature walks, going to the Latin Sucess Student Center (LSSC), and exploring the hikes that are walking distance from me.
Favorite spot on campus	My favorite spot on campus is the hill by student housing, it has an amazing view of the Bay.
Advice for incoming students	Some advice I would offer to incoming college students is to enjoy every moment. I feel like everything is a learning experience whether it is a bad one or a good one, you could always take something from it and apply what you learned to future experiences.

I am Diya Teckchandani, an international student from India. My major is statistics, and I intend to be a data analyst once I finish my bachelor's degree. I chose Cal State East Bay because of the cultural diversity held by the campus and the exposure it has to the entire Bay Area. I love talking to people and learning about different people’s perspectives. So, feel free to talk about literally anything to me and I’ll be more than happy to listen & interact! Apart from college, I also have a side hustle. I am a UGC creator and I am also a newbie content creator. Mariela

Hello everyone, My name is Mariela Herrera. I'm currently a third-year student here at Cal State East Bay majoring in Criminal Justice. My dream job is to become a parole officer as I want to help people as they reintegrate back into society. I picked East Bay because of how diverse and welcoming the campus is. Whenever I’m not busy with work or school I enjoy rewatching my two favorite TV shows, Gilmore Girls and New Girl as well as listening to music. Favorite spot on campus	My favorite spot on campus would have to be the Pioneer Amphitheater because it has such beautiful scenery and it’s a relaxing area to just sit down and read a book as you hear the birds chirping away.
Favorite quote	“¿A qué venimos?, ¡A triunfar!” which translates to “What did we come here for, to succeed.” This was a phrase my dad repeated to me ever since he started dropping me off in elementary school. This quote has become very important to me as it's a daily reminder to never give up on my dreams and to push through no matter how hard life gets.

Hi-hi! I’m Carolyn Sullivan! I’m a 3rd-year Communications major here at East Bay. I am local to the Bay Area from Fremont and chose East Bay so I can be close to home and my friends. Hi everyone my name is Joe! I am a second-year student ambassador at the Welcome Center with a major in criminal justice and minors in political science and sociology. I believe it’s important to spend your time on campus doing something, so my goal has been to help the students and professors in any way I can! I am originally from Stockton, CA, but moved out to East Bay because of the beautiful nature, amazing weather and breeze, and the chance for new opportunities.

I’m Victor! Currently a second-year student at Cal State East Bay, majoring in Business Administration and Management. I am from Windsor, California, and came to East Bay to pursue a position with the San Francisco 49ers (Golden State Warriors.) I have a deep passion for music, with a love for artists like Daft Punk and Grupo Frontera. Outside of academics, I’ve been passionate about basketball since elementary school, and it continues to be a major part of my life.

Jorge: Welcome Center Advisor

Jorge was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and raised in Union City, CA. He attended James Logan High School and Los Medanos College. He earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts with a minor in Ethnic Studies from Cal State East Bay. As a first-generation college graduate, he strongly believes in the importance of post-secondary education and the power it yields toward the betterment of society. After more than two decades of working and coaching in high school, he continues to volunteer as a youth football coach. He thrives in mentoring high school and transfer students in their pursuit of higher education.

Maria: Outreach and Recruitment Office Manager

Maria grew up in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area in Hayward. She entered Cal State East Bay as a first-time freshman and was the first in her family to graduate from college, earning her BS in health sciences in 2015, with a focus on administration and management. The affordability and close commute made Cal State East Bay an ideal choice for her. The campus’s beauty is what Maria enjoys most, from the beautiful landscape to the hilltop view of the Bay. When not working, she enjoys spending with friends and family or cuddling on the couch with her 60-pound lap dog and binge-watching Netflix. Maria is the Outreach and Recruitment Office Manager for Student Outreach and the Welcome Center. She is responsible for all office procedures and uses her organizational skills to ensure smooth operations for the offices.
